Hello Team WEST,

This has taken a lot of organising but i think we are there!

Straight after our first game of the season vs InterMacc (away) ALL our 18 players are going on a trip to see MCFC at home. Please bring a change of clothes so the lads can get changed before we go.

All transport has been arranged along with food and drink for all players.
Nobody requires any money for this trip. After the game we will meet back at about 6.45 (depending on traffic) at the Micker Brook pub car park for collection of your child.

EXTRA SPECIAL TREAT
Uncle Martin has requested 12 players take part in a 1hr training session before the MCFC game on a purpose built astro pitch next to the MCFC gift shop. 2 ex MCFC players and 2 coaches will take the session which will be photographed and also be filmed. This will then be shown in the ground on the big screens. A BIG WOW FOR ANY CITY SUPPORTER

I have the unpleasant task of selecting these 12 players, not a nice thing to do but it's too greater an opportunity for some of our lads.

So the following players need to bring their astro/trainers (rubber sole) boots please, I will supply each player a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to wear. please keep your black footy socks on and if you wish keep your inter kit on underneath thats cool.

NO InterCheadle coach will be allowed on this pitch so you will be representing your team and our club so don't let us down.

Once this session is complete each player can get quickly changed into anything they have brought with them and their footy stuff will be left in the cars.

The 12 players are:
SamC - ZacG - Owen - Callum - SamR - Joe - ZakA - Luke
Jake - Nico - Charlie - SamW

The remaining 6 lads will be with the coaches and parents on the other side of the barriers. Your first on next time lads. SOZ

If any of the above players do not wish to take part in this session please text me ASAP as one of the other players will be happy to fill their place.

SO JUST TO RECAP.........

- A change of clothes will be required for all players.
- Those 12 players named above will require astro/trainers rubber sole for this session
- If you have an InterCheadle jacket please wear it on the day

RESULT 4-0 win WEST team

A great nights football by all accounts, with 4 (or was it 5) different names on the score sheet (Callum/Morgan - Joe - Owen - Jonny) and some great football played by all. Or so my pitch side sources tell me. TVM

Thanks to ALL the lads for attending and i hope this has really put you in the mood for this coming Saturday.

Good luck to all our U9 teams that are kicking off the new season this weekend!
Just a note to the U9's East that our match starts at 10am so we need to meet about 9.30am for a warm-up. Also no studded boots or blades are allowed just trainers or moulded boots as we are playing on astro turf. We are away to InterMacc this saturday, 9.30 meet with a 10am kick-off.
Full Inter Kit, grass boots, shin pads and a drink required.

HI all,

A great day for football, not sure how many of them were gonna get this season??

Our first game from a long break saw us playing at our home pitch for the very first time. This pre-seson friendly vs Didsbury (not Cheadle) Juniors was a great way to start as they are sitting in a Division above us so a good test. Missing several players today but a big thanks to Ross, Lally and Lewis (hope your OK Lewis as a high boot saw him come off towards the end).

Final result 0-3 away team win.

All the goals were scored in the first 25mins with the first coming within 6 mins. I am not surprised as we are all rusty from not playing, and it showed. Didsbury are a fast, well organised and solid tackling team and showed some great skills. A big thanks to them and to Paul the manager.

We really pulled together after the initial 25 mins and with the odd shot on goal we contained DJ and pushed forward with some great football of our own and had the better of the remaining game. We do need to work on passing and shooting as we did try and walk the ball into the goal but this will all come flooding back to us.

A great first game, we now move on towards our Wednesday game vs Kingsway Kickers.

SATURDAY 11th SEPTEMBER see the start of our new U11's season with an away game vs Inter Macc at their ground.

I am pushing for a 10am kick off as we have a little WEST treat for our team.
